The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established with the decision of the Ege University Senate dated 29.03.1994 and numbered 6/10 and the approval of the Higher Education Council dated 22.04.1994 and numbered 10216. Section; It consists of the branches of Electronics, Electrical Generation, Distrubution and Infrastructure, Electrical Machines, Telecommunication, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technique, Circuits and Systems Science, which was established by the Senate decision dated 03.05.1994. It started its education and training activities for the first time in the Solar Energy Institute Building. In 1995, it was moved to the Additional classrooms building located on the campus. It still continues its education and training activities in this building.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which started its educational activities for the first time in the 1994-1995 academic year, admitted 33 students to the undergraduate program for the first time. In the 1997-1998 academic year, 7 students graduated from the undergraduate program and gave their first graduates.
With the decision of the Ege University Senate dated 11.06.1996 and numbered 7/3, with the approval of the Higher Education Council, a Master's program was opened in the 1996-1997 academic year, and a PhD program in the 2003-2004 academic year. year. year. In the 1996-1997 academic year, 8 students were admitted to the graduate program for the first time. First, 1 student graduated from the master's program in the 1998-1999 academic year. In the 2003-2004 academic year, 3 students were admitted to the doctoral program for the first time.
